Tial Wastegates MVS 38mm $330 MVR 44mm $480

Just landed from the USA we have Tial Sports most popular compact wastegates.

MVS 38mm $330

*Feature all stainless steel hardware and their compact design allows them to fit into the tightest of spaces, in fact the MVS is the most compact wastegate on the market today!

*3 lower ports and two top ports for easy install, no need to rotate the actuator top at all, plugs included for unused ports

*17-7 PH Stainless Steel actuator spring gives consistent pressure at high temperature, resist "relaxing" at temperature to 900F (483C)

*1 bar (14.7psi) actuator

MVR 44mm $480

*Integrated -4 AN water cooling ports that cycle a small amount of coolant through the actuator top to keep the temperatures down in extreme conditions such as road racing. These are leak tested after installation from the factory and can be removed if not utilized.

*High temp NiCrFe based alloy is used for valve and 347SS valve housing will offer longer product life compared to competing designs.

*1 bar (14.7psi) actuator

17-7 PH Stainless Steel actuator spring gives consistent pressure at high temperature, resists "relaxing" at temperature to 900F (483C).

*Ultra compact design fits in very tight spaces, the unit stands only 4.17" tall, more compact than any other 44+mm external wastegate on the market today.

*V-Band inlet and outlet make install easy, flanges and clamps are in the box!

*The MVR is a replacement for the old 44mm Design.

*This wastegate will bolt onto any existing Turbosmart 45mm wastegate applications, and can also replace 44mm Ebay/Chinese V-Band wastegates

Don't be left behind! Step it up and call Powertune today!

Genuine Origin Lab Carbon Fibre Type II Bonnet

Ok Boys and Girls,

I'm looking at selling off my brand newly fitted (about a month at most) genuine Origin Lab carbon fibre Type II bonnet as I'm trying to get my hands on a white/silver carbon fibre one as my car is white and prefer a more subtle look. I bought this black carbon fibre one as it was the only one kicking it around in Australia (i.e. didn't need to wait a handful of months for the thing to arrive).

Condition of the thing is pretty much brand new. I have gone through the trouble to carefully fit AeroCatch latches which I'll include in the sale. Some pictures of the actual item...

This thing owes me close to $1.2k... I'm after $1k picked up so I can put towards the silver carbon fibre one I'm hoping to get. I can get it couriered at additional cost.

Shoot me a pm for GENUINE interest.

Cheers,

Suspension set up

Hey guys iv got a 180sx drift track car, iv been told by my mates who have the same track cars that my steering is different compared to their silvias. My mates tell me that my car feels to be way too light at the front, it seems like you cant feel the road and the steering wheel spins too freely. Im not sure wat the problem could be, either my suspension set up or somthing wrong with my power steering or steering rack. Just want to know if anyone has had this type of problem and could tell me their suspension set up like the degress of each component and where they took their car to get their suspension set up somewhere in melbourne.

C Spanners for coilovers

Hey,

I need some C spanners for my coilovers - they are 2 way adjustable (base and spring). The spring collar is much larger than the base collar and the locking collar under the spring collar.

Does anyone know of local places in East Melb that sell C spanners? Dont want to buy online and find out its the wrong size...

EPA'd - Need advice & possibly borrow/buy parts for s15?

Okay, so may car recently got done for an EPA. I stupidly went in for my inspection without doing research and as such my car didn't pass the first inspection and now I have to pass a full emissions test.

The letter from the DECC says I need to remove my variable fuel pressure regulator and boost control unit.

Can someone on here in Sydney possibly lend or sell me a factory fuel pressure regulator and boost control unit for an s15? I was thinking of just hooking the boost line straight to the wastegate just to pass. Bad idea?

Also, it says I need to pass an emissions test and that I have a large FMIC and a high flow cat. I didn't know that my cat was high flow but I assume the guy at the inspection station knows what he's on about.

My exhaust is running a 2.5inch mid section on a 3inch system at the moment so it's restrictive as heck because I needed to pass a sound test for my engineers cert. Got 89.4 at it's highest .

Do you think I'll pass an emissions test with the high flow cat and FMIC or will I need a factory cat? It doesn't look like a ballistic cat or anything, just an everyday high flow.

Also the ecu is running a piggy back greddy emanage blue tuned by Paden at unique autosports (I beleive so anyhow). Will this effect my emissions enough to fail?

I'm also curious as to when I go in for the emissions, will they just check that what has been reported is rectified or will they rape me some more? I currently have a pod filter setup in a custom metal enclosure and the guy at the first inspection didn't write me up for that so I'm hoping that the DECC won't say any more about it?

Any help is very much appreciated.

Cheers.

Hi,
Just wondering if there is a quick way to tell how many actuations a camera has taken?

First Google result came up inconclusive, stating that it can't be done apart from getting Canon to tell you, yet so many people state it when selling cameras second hand, so I highly doubt that's the case.

Camera in question is a 400D.

hello all

my s13 silvia got half flooded during the floods the other day on the passenger's side, after getting
the water out, i tried to turn it over, but it doesn't spark, i believe it could be a faulty computer unit which is located
on the passenger side of the car where your feet is, as it had a bit of moisture in it. I dont believe any water got in the engine
, it got as far as the air filter.

Does anyone have a second hand working CA18 non turbo computer unit for sale?,

if not can anyone give any other suggestions why it wont spark??, could it be the immobiliser ?where abouts is that situated
on the car. Though the car unlocks and locks with the remote.

Local adelaide band loooking for a COMMITTED BASS player who's looking to be a part of a band; not just a session musician! :)

Time commitment: One night a week prac for a few hours (usually weds night) + any extra rehearsal hours needed for recordings/gigs when necessary.

Genre: Have been compared to the artist “Sade” quite a lot, but describe our genre as Acoustic Groove. Happy to give preview of tracks!

Future Goals: Hoping to get some high quality recordings done to promote the band on radio etc, to do gigs where we can... not looking to be super famous, but to achieve as much as we can and get the music out there and to just enjoy playing and jamming along the way. And ultimate achievement at this point would be to record a full album.

Songwriting: We do have a main songwriter, but do collaborate together as well and are open to doing more of that and anything that anyone has to bring. We like to have the odd random jam as well!

Brief info about us: Our current line up is a drummer (male), lead singer/songwriter/guitarist (female), keyboardist (female). We’re based in the eastern suburbs of Adelaide (that’s where we rehearse). We're a pretty casual group, like to have a chat, a coffee (or milo) and a laugh at pracs. Our ages range from 26 - late 30's, incase thats relevant!

Other requirements from you: The ability to drive, or at least get yourself around with your equipment is pretty much essential.

There's prolly stuff we've forgotten to cover here, so if you've got any questions, or if you are interested or know someone who knows someone etc, please feel free to let us know - lorraejs@gmail.ccom so we can look at setting up a possible meeting/a non-scary audition

stupid crazy cooling system pressures

hey all

ive just rebuilt my sr20 after it shattered the ring lands on piston no1, i believe it was detonation due to a shitty tune

but i cant hear a thing over my screamer on track lol

the only things that have changed on the engine to the cooling system since the rebuild are

- i deleted all the external coolant lines, so i welded up all the holes, i spoke to people who have done this and run it on there own cars no hassles

- and im running my turbo water lines similar to s14, so block turbo, and turbo waterneck

the cooling system pressure is HUGE, when the thermostat opens its like a volcano out the rad, it pulses and pushes alot of water out each time

before you ask if the head was decked etc it was, block and head decked

head torqued as per manual

Tighten all bolts to 29 ft-lbs
Tighten all bolts to 58 ft-lbs
Loosen all bolts completely.
Tighten all bolts to 33 ft-lbs
Turn all bolts 90 , then turn another 90 degrees

i did a cylinder leakage test to the engine and have 12% accross the board on TDC and BDC, i took the cams out obviously to do bdc
also took out thermostat and there is no air bubbles or pressure leaking into the cooling system

there is no leakage into any other cylinder, or into the intake, zorst or blowby

everyody i speak to is stumped hardcore

if anybody knows whats goin on or had experienced this please let me know, i have a track day in a month and need to get the car tuned and ready by then

thanks

hey all,

so I was working in Bunbury for a while and shipped my car there while I was there. due to my line of work I have moved again and need to ship it to Adelaide.
got a couple of quotes but alot of them have this bull shit thing about the car hight not being less than 14cm which mine is. i just scrape the legal 100mm limit. which in some cases doubles my quote
so what id like to know who you people have used before and how much did it cost?
I don't want to use the last mob i used because they broke my lower control arm and then took them 2 weeks to get there insurance mob to fix
